This display typeface was created for editorial purposes. It’s a cutout serif that works both small and very large. Some of the forms reminded me of how the beach kisses the sea, hence the name ‘Sea of Life’.
This project was a culmination of hours upon hours of research. I selected to do a comparison of Canada vs. the United States after realizing how much data was available. I made the pamphlet, keeping in mind that it could help show how different one issue is in two very similar countries.
This project was a challenge to take 3 very difference typefaces and combine the elements all together into one that looks cohesive and like it always existed.
I used a blackletter typeface, Bauer Bodoni (thick and thin) and a typeface with many flourishes so create the final form.
Unlike many in my class, I chose to do everything by hand when first creating it to understand how each typeface worked and the integrity of each.
This demonstrates my abilities to keep the core elements and integrity of a company/product and re-brand them to a more fresh and new feeling.
This is a mock campaign that highlights the water issues that many First Nations people face on reservations across Canada. This campaign brings to light those issues with the use of subway ads and pops up shops that sell re-usable water bottles where 50% of the proceeds go towards helping the First Nation communities.
This poster was part of a research topic on a famous Type founder in history. I was given Claude Garamond and created a poster that is reflective of who he was and the era he lived. It was printed on a cream colour paper.
This project was to build an understanding of working in 3D. We had to make a sculpture for Oakville’s Art in the Park using only 2 shapes.
